How it all Started
In September 2011, a local sorority formerly known as Omicron Pi, took the pledge to become affiliated with Theta Phi Alpha. On that day we were welcomed into the bonds of sisterhood through relationships both new and old. Our chapter encompasses traditions of the past with those of the present. Every year we host a Thanksgiving dinner as well as a holiday celebration in the winter for all of our sisters to come together as a family.
Our uniqueness as a sisterhood stems from our diversity found within each other; our sisters come from all walks of life, from places both near and far, and yet we have all found a home with Theta Phi Alpha. You can find our sisters involved in almost every organization on campus, from academic honor societies to the Off Center comedy productions. We love seeing our sisters excel in anything that she enjoys; whether sitting in an audience or in the stands of a sporting event our sisters are always there to support one another.
Theta Phi Alpha provides her members not only a sense of community and friendship but also the ability to become leaders both within the chapter as well as on campus. Our sisters are given the opportunity to learn how to manage a committee, network with other organizations on campus, or even create their own event to benefit one of our national philanthropies. Our sisterhood is always open to new programs and ideas.
We are one of five nationally recognized panhellenic sororities on campus. We are proud to be a part of the Greek community here at Stevens, as a whole, we all strive to better our campus and our Hoboken community.
